The motivation for this series is to encourage ALL riders from various disciplines to give Dressage a go, and have some fun doing so! There will be Graded, Recreational and Musical Freestyle classes.
This competition is based on a simple points system, whereby each horse/rider combination is awarded points for meeting various criteria. There will be a separate points system for Recreational riders, but they will still stand a chance to win their own “grand prize” at the end of the series.
Points will be awarded for:
* Walk Trot – 1 Point, Prelim – 2 Points, Novice – 3 Points, etc…
** 50 % UPWARDS – 1 Point, 60 % UPWARDS – 2 Points, 70 % UPWARDS – 3 Points, etc…
*** 1st Place – 10 Points, 2nd Place – 9 Points, 3rd Place – 8 Points, etc…
**** Judge’s decision on the day – 3 Points
This will be down to any test that resulted in good sportsmanship, horsemanship and silly antics that caused laughter for all.
Finally, a complimentary glass of Bubbly will be allocated to each competitor for each show. Underaged competitors will be given the option to nominate a parent or guardian for their Bubbly!
